Marie Kondo’s series Tidying Up debuted on Netflix earlier this month. In each episode she suggests that people let go of items that do not “spark joy.” What her KonMari Method has sparked, is a bit of controversy.

To clarify and explain the decluttering and organizing process, I had four interviews with CBC Radio. We discussed what a minimalist life really means, and whether or not it is right for everyone. We also talked about the benefits and limitations of the KonMari method. If you missed the live interviews, you can listen by clicking on the links below.

  • Early Edition with Stephen Quinn (fast-forward the recording to 01:21:30)
  • On the Island with Gregor Craigie (recording not yet available)
  • Daybreak Kamloops with Shelley Joyce (recording not yet available)
  • Daybreak South with Chris Walker (fast-forward the recording to 1:31:20)

If you need help decluttering and getting organized, Out of Chaos can provide customized services to suit your needs. For those outside of our service area, we would be happy to recommend our colleagues at Professional Organizers in Canada.
